Expanded description

Class participants may be able to help locate and identify architects’ connections to specific buildings of interest to the class.

Schedule of classes (subject to modification)

The class will NOT meet the first Thursday of the term, March 29. But we will meet the remaining seven sessions, beginning on Thursday, April 5. The first two sessions – on April 5 and 12 – will be from 1:30 to 3:30, all at Village on the Cannon. Then the next four sessions – on April 19 and 26 and on May 3 and 10 – will be expanded to 2 1⁄2 hours from 1:30-4:00, to allow for architectural walking tours and site visits. These sessions will begin at the Village on the Cannon to discuss what we will see and to get directions for getting to another location. Then the final session – on May 17 – will be from 1:30 to 3:30 entirely at Village on the Cannon. Most of these expanded sessions will require participants to do moderate walking on sidewalks, usually in the downtown area. Participants will need to provide their own transportation from Village on the Cannon to the various buildings’ sites. Car pooling is encouraged.
