September 19: Mother Night, Chapter 24 – end of book, plus additional material provided electronically.
September 26: Cat’s Cradle, Chapters 1 – 65 (all chapters very brief), plus additional material.
October 3: Cat’s Cradle, Chapter 66 – end of book, plus additional wonders.
October 10: Documentary, Kurt Vonnegut: Unstuck in Time. Discussion questions will help us focus on matters in Vonnegut’s life that intersect with our course.
October 17: Slaughterhouse-Five, Chapters One – Five, plus more stuff.
October 24: Slaughterhouse-Five, Chapter Six – end of book. And more.
October 31: Wrap-up: what can we say about black humor, anti-war writing, and science fiction as filtered through Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.’s writerly mind?
